The People Behind TeaDelight
Welcome to TeaDelight! We’re Michael and Mary — two tea enthusiasts working together from different continents to bring you a trustworthy, beautiful corner of the internet dedicated to all things tea.

Michael
Michael is the founder and the analytical mind behind the scenes. He makes sure every piece of information on the site is grounded in real data and every product recommendation is nonsense-free. When he’s not fine-tuning the site, you’ll find him experimenting with new tea blends brewed in his trusty thermos, sipping from his favorite green and white porcelain mug. He’s a devoted cat lover (though really, he adores all animals) and spends his downtime gaming with friends.
Mary

Mary handles the visual and aesthetic side of TeaDelight — the part that makes it feel like a place you’d actually want to spend time. She shares Michael’s love for thermos-brewed tea but prefers enjoying hers from a delicate glass teacup — ideally black tea served on a stainless steel tray lined with a pretty lace doily, a charming nod to her Persian heritage. When she steps away from the screen, you’ll find her dancing.
Mary’s sweet tooth and Michael’s love for savory flavors make for a perfectly complementary duo, adding a unique flavor of their own to TeaDelight.
How TeaDelight Started
The idea began with Michael’s vision: to build something meaningful and create a sustainable business. When he saw the charm and potential of the tea world, the path became clear. Before long, he realized he needed someone with creativity and an authentic connection to the everyday joys of tea.
That’s where Mary joined in, virtually from across continents, bringing her lifelong admiration for teacakes and her endless romance with cute teapots. And with that, TeaDelight finally came to life.
What We Actually Do
TeaDelight isn’t a tea shop: we don’t sell tea directly. We’re a guide. We analyze products, dig into real customer experiences, and organize what we find so you can make better tea decisions without wading through hundreds of Amazon reviews yourself.
We evaluate every tea product across four dimensions: craftsmanship, value, convenience, and gift suitability. Because “good tea” means different things to different people. A busy parent looking for easy weekday tea and a gongfu enthusiast hunting for aged pu-erh have nothing in common except that they both deserve a recommendation that actually fits.
You can read the full details on our methodology page.
Our Promise
We’d rather show you a limitation than hide it. If our data on a product is thin, we’ll tell you. If a metric turned out to be unreliable, we removed it rather than keep showing it. And when we link to Amazon, we’ll always tell you that we earn a commission — because that’s how this works, and pretending otherwise would be insulting.
We think the tea world deserves better than generic “top 10” lists and recycled product descriptions. That’s what we’re building here.
